I lost my grandfather

This has been the hardest week of my life. I stood by my grandfather with my family for the last few days of his life. Then we held his hands and comforted him as he took his last breaths. I have never witnessed a person passing before and my grandfather is the closest family death that I’ve had. I feel like I am still frozen in those last 5 minutes of his life. Those were the hardest. We buried him Wednesday but he is no longer suffering with lung cancer. I am so thankful that I was allowed that precious time with him in those last few days. He died Sunday, July 8th at 10:57 pm. Saturday the 7th he was awake most of the day. We talked and laughed and he told tales on everyone he knew tales on. He sang his little songs and talked about how handsome he is. My grandfather was a ladies man. He loved flirting with his nurses. He is truly missed by many. I love him so very much. I know that only time can heal our pain but right now I feel sort of numb.

I love you so much poppaw!!!!

My Baby Graduated PreK Today

Earlier today I went to my daughter’s school and watched her graduate PreK. She is growing up on me, that’s for sure. She didn’t like the cap on her head. Mrs. Compton put it back on her head a few times before she decided she’d just hang onto it for a little bit. But while Mrs. Compton had her cap…she was buys taking off her shoes. I did manage to get some good shots of her though. I wanted to share a couple of them 🙂 Here is my baby girl…

She said she was, “Pinky waving” at me.

2 Wedding Layouts

I’ve started my wedding album! These are the photos from a sneak peek of our wedding photos from my photographer, Veronica Broadwater.  I get to pick up my disc with all of our wedding photos this evening after work. I’m so excited and can’t wait to see them all 🙂

I found this Hands Ceremony online and asked our preacher, Thomas Stranger, if he would mind reading this for us and he didn’t mind at all.

My aunt Jeannine sang, “Me and You” by Kenny Chesney at our wedding and she did a wonderful job. I can’t think of a song that suits the way we feel about each other better than the lyrics in this song. It was PERFECT!

I love you so much Jerry Brewer!!! I am so proud to be your wife 🙂

The Wedding was Perfect!!!

Even though we were both so nervous, the wedding went great! I am so proud of the kids. They did such a good job walking down the aisle. Even though they were running around the church and being rowdy while I was away getting ready, they calmed down and acted much better during the ceremony. My handsome groom did a great job and I was so happy standing there with him in front of our family and friends. I have some photos to share 🙂 These are a few photos that two of my friends took. I’ll post more later. I haven’t seen the photos my photographer took but I will be blown away by them I’m sure. I can’t wait to get them!!!

Here we are…Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Allen Brewer 🙂

I’m Getting Married!!!

In just two days I will be Mrs. Jerry Allen Brewer 🙂 I’m so excited but also soooooooo nervous. We had originally planned to marry in July or August but my step dad (who is giving me away) will soon be getting a lung transplant and him and mom will be a few hours away for months. So we had to set our date sooner than that. So May 19th is the big day! Tomorrow evening we are having the rehearsal. I made my own bouquets because I can’t afford real flowers. But I’m not complaining though. They turned out so beautiful. I’ve never played with artificial flowers before but I had an idea of how I wanted them to look and they turned out great. I’ll post pics of them. I also made some hair bows for my girls to wear with some of the flowers so they’ll match. I haven’t taken any pictures of them yet though. Our wedding colors are purple and blue (our favorite colors). My brides maids will be wearing purple dresses and their escorts will be in light blue shirts. It’s a cheap wedding. I was looking up wedding budgets and there is no way I can pay thousands for a wedding. I wish I could but it’s impossible. I don’t even have that kind of money. I want a beautiful wedding…don’t get me wrong, but beautiful will have to be done cheaply. I’m ok with that, lol. Here are the bouquets I made.

I did a pretty good job didn’t I?! It’s hard to believe that in just two days I will be married. But this time I know I have my Mr. Right. When I married my ex husband, we got married in a court house because he didn’t want to have a wedding. This time I’m making the right choice. Jerry have I have been together almost 3 years. I can not wait to be his wife. I also can’t wait to see him standing in front of the church waiting for me 🙂
